My husband and I went to this restaurant last Friday. My husband has been here twice previously and thought it delicious both previous visits. While the menu is diverse and pretty extensive, we went with our standbys as compared to El Mexicano and Mi Familia (also local). We shared Tacos De Lengua (warmed corn tortillas, tender beef tongue, diced onion, cilantro and lime wedges) and a steak torta (fresh bread roll griddle toasted and loaded with grilled steak, re fried beans, sour cream, avocado, tomato, lettuce). The torta meal also came with a seasoned rice and side of refried beans. We were brought fresh chips and 2 kinds of fresh salsa, one mild and the other one pepper hot. It's canned/bottle drinks only, so we just had a soda. We left very full and with intentions to return with our older kids and try something new. I highly suggest it if you enjoy A peaceful lunch, pleasant friendly staff and delicious food! Side note: my husband has had the shrimp cocktail and said it was also very good.. Cocktail de Camerone I believe is the name on the menu (although not sure if I spelled that correctly) This restaurant is to the left of Tony's market and Laundry at 2613 NE Adams (just south of the intersection where Akexander's steakhouse is located). There is minimal seating, maybe 8-10 tables? But we were the only patrons in there during the lunch hour. They do take cash and plastic for payment. Plenty of lot parking. Open 9AM-8PM daily.
