Billy Dennis is a lifelong Peorian who attended Woodruff High School and Illinois Central College before a two-and-one-half-year stint at Eastern Illinois University, where he majoried in Journalism and was editor-in-chief of the Daily Eastern News. He worked at the Peoria LABOR Paper and at the Peoria Times-Observer, as well as other small and medium-sized newspapers in Illinois and Missouri. He founded Peoria Pundit -- one of Peoria's longest-running and best-known blogs -- and The Blog Peoria Project.  He is an advocate of citizen journalism and people-powered media.
