I don't think we need an investigation, the guy had a gun, police officers were scared, so they justifiably shot him. Same story every single time.

@AV8R That was the question that I asked in my second post on this thread. No one answered it though. Just got a lot of overly defensive comments and insults, when I had not really said anything that needed defending.

Peoria will soon become the new Ferguson, naacp had their mitts involved within 20 minutes. Sharpton, Good Morning America (liberal haze) and BLM rioters in your neighborhood soon. Area had already become pretty rough years ago, but oh boy here we go. Board up the business windows soon.

To all you keyboard critics of this incident. None of you were there, none of you have ever been in the situation in which the police found themselves, so maybe it is better to not comment at all.

@bornhere We don't want to live in a police state. The shooting probably was justified, but the day that we lose the ability to question it, is the day we lose our freedom.

Joe, if your first post was just a nonjudgmental innocent question why add the statement
" Is it just me or have the police lost the skills required to capture and arrest suspects without killing them"That wasn't nonjudgmental if you ask me. That wasn't asking for more facts.. that was an assumption that they didn't try to handle the situation differently.

If more police had the skills to arrest suspects without killing them, the black lives matter movement would not exist.

Again..... When was the last time Peoria PD shot and killed a suspect?????

@stella1029 we would not know. There is no requirement for police departments to track and record when they kill people.I remember the guy oh about ten years ago who was carrying an AK 47 and shot at the cops. I suspect he was also suicidal.
