Why is that? He was elected in Texas to go to DC and fight against the establishment. He has done that at every turn. He doubled down on ending ethanol subsidies, even when the MSM predicted it would "kill any chance of a victory in Iowa." What has he done that makes you feel he is "inherently dishonest?" I'll leave the likable comment alone. I disagree, but that is a purely subjective opinion.
@AV8R :
I used to have a non-opinion of Cruz for the most part. He looked ridiculous reading a Dr. Suess book on the Senate floor - and that image has never left me. The deception he pulled on Dr. Carson the night of the Iowa caucus was unforgivable in my book. Through his dishonest actions he disenfranchised the Dr. Carson supporters, among others. Even if CNN was misleading in their reporting it was incumbent upon him to verify with the Carson campaign before spreading such harmful rumors. Full disclosure - no amount of discussion will change my mind on that so save yourself the time. ;-)
Regarding "fighting" the establishment, there is a persuasive way to do it and an ineffective way to do it. Clearly he was not persuasive as nothing changed. So in a nutshell he is just another tough talking, special interest money grubbing politician that is a do-nothing in Congress - like the others.
