If their research leads to a cure for cancer, aids, Alzheimer's, heart disease, a way to grow new organs it is a good thing.What's the difference here and in someone donating their body to science and a group selling that cadaver? Isn't this the exact same thing? I just hope congress can cut off funding for everyone who deals in body parts so we can finally get back to the good ol days of dying at 45.

On the other hand, I have no problem seeing audience members handling livers & gall bladders on the Dr. Oz. show. Maybe it's because I feel confident that someone voluntarily gave up their own organs after living their own life. It's the subtleties.

And yes, they have produced the desired effect. Abortion clinics have been the Left's sacred cow. They are largely unregulated and rarely inspected. When the Kermit Gosnell "house of horrors" story broke, we learned that many abortion clinics (Peoria's included) hadn't been inspected in a decade or more. It's time we shed a little light on the grisly details of these "health" clinics.

Tissue collection for medical research is legal.
Fetuses aren't babies. Defunding Planned Parenthood won't change the above three facts. In fact the funds that go to planned parenthood are reimbursements for medical care excluding abortions.. The medical care will go someplace and planned parenthood or other clinics will still be performing legal procedures elsewhere. I don't get how the PP witch hunt achieves any thing constructive.

Certainly, were it not for the generosity of those who choose to donate tissue, 23/24/25 week old micro-preemies wouldn't have a chance of survival. Now they do. Positive outcomes for micro-preemies (those weighing less than 1000g) aren't garaunteed but have certainly improved.

I have two preemies (twins)! 1070 grams and 450 grams. (not a typo!)

Maybe we need to start killing off the kids at St. Jude's so we can use their body parts to find cures for the diseases they have. Prognosis isn't good for most of them anyway. Why delay the inevitable when you could be harvesting fresh body parts with the disease you're trying to cure? Besides, keeping those kids alive is so costly!
