It's not like every student loan borrower got off "Scot free"

"It's not like every student loan borrower got off "Scot free". They had to have made at least 120 monthly payments and work in an approved public service job. If you total up the amount they had paid, it equals or exceeds the amount borrowed in many cases. The interest is the killer, just like the interest on credit card balances. From Google: "Seeking forgiveness under Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)? The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you've satisfied..."
Explain this phenomenon

"Explain this phenomenon A person gets his wish and takes over a business he has long sought after. From the outside looking in things seem to be going well but those on the inside know otherwise. As the business beings to flounder, the bills begin to pile up. As the business continues its sharp downward trend, the owner increasingly spends his personal wealth, taking lavish vacations and buying a trophy home, while his debtors are left hanging on the vine. That's a hell of a way to live. [youtub..."

"With all the college dept being wiped. What about all who stepped up and went to work. Bought trucks to drive across country, one who invested their life into pluming. Restaurant workers who served you food late night or early morning. I don't get why ones need relief when they choice is to go to college...."

"PeoriaIllinoisan : Their website says different. @kr aziebill : Yes, their Advantage savings, the one that doesn't pay interest. Which is fine, other than I have to come in and fill out an application for a new account which seems unnecessary. This is getting blown out to be bigger than it really is; it's just an annoyance. I went through something similar, but much much bigger, with PNC Business banking, so I got upset when my small local bank wanted to jerk me around with fees too...."
