I don't have time to read all these pages right now but here's the thing. If I have a legal choice on wearing a seatbelt and I get into an accident and get hurt because I wasn't buckled in, that's on me. My choice. I have over 2 million miles driving, only 2 little fender benders. CAN something happen?? Of course but the odds are not against you, if you're a responsible driver. The other guy can be a factor but still too rare to really consider.
I wear my seatbelt because it's the law and I can easily be busted for not wearing it. I did several times back home. But the day I drive back to Buffalo, or any distance on the freeway, as soon as I'm out of the city, the belt comes off and the little piece of black tape goes over the idiot light.
2 million miles in a truck I never wore one. Never wore one when I was a kid and rarely as an adult and I'm still here to tel lthe tale
