I will do it because Jesus tells me too. There will be a bible in each bag, and I will tell them about Christ. This is about helping, not neglecting. I will not stop preaching even to the poor. I highly recommend anyone that doesnt want to hand a bible along with the items, dont participate.

Seal, I think there's a difference between providing and pushing. But certainly if you are against providing them, you shouldn't. My view is that some people just need a bit of hope and if a bible helps them, it's good. I'd leave it at that though. If they want to have a conversation about religious matters, they can strike one up with someone.

@bits1349: I am all for your idea of helping the poor and homeless, but I am very sorry I cannot help. I am struggling just to keep my home, and eat about once a day myself.

Seal- if you want to help the needy do it. Stop complaining about how someone else does it. And please stop being so angry towards people doing good. I challenge you to do go and hand out stuff to the needy too- if you are not willing- stop complaining.Ps - if someone wants to pray or talk about God- I will not stop because you are offended.

bits1349 In all your glory. Why don't you boost about some thing a little more. Don't brag go in secret and do your deeds. Your Bible says the same thing (Matthew 6:3, 4) . . ., 4 so that your gifts of mercy may be in secret. Then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you.

Look I'm not saying what your doing is wrong but the way your going about it is. These homeless that your so called interested in is around here 24/7 I live at 822 N.E. Madison one block from the friend ship house yes they help to. But what I see after is I pick up the bags of food left or the boxes they leave in the alley behind my house. Cause they don't have no where to take them items or to even carry a extra bag with them. I don't have the money to do things like you say you can do Praise Jehovah for what I can do. Again state, city has money for these kind of situations but there to worried about the down town project. Yes there are homeless around the world but we can not help some that wont help them self's. No I am not being cruel about it. Jehovah does not like lazy people.

@tntrecycling: Trying to get a mulitude of people together to do it. You brag nonstop about JW and how many there are, and on and on. I am simply getting people together to getting needy people some help. Take a chill pill and look in the mirror before telling anyone they are bragging, great and numberous JW member.
