I posted about something that happened last night. Should I have to mention every case of plagiarism so I don't look like a hypocrite?

Here...I disavow all of the acts of plagiarism.

And for the record...I don't blame Melania. She can say she wrote the speech herself but I seriously doubt that. I blame her husband for running a lousy campaign and then hanging her out to take the fall for this.

Yesterday the party was furious that Trumps campaign manager criticized Kasich. No republican has won the White House without Ohio.

Than came the speech. So if the Trump campaign manager gets fired it isn't too hard to see that things could totally come unglued especially with a roll call vote count up.

I heard on the radio this morning that Trump delegates from Illinois were given a schedule that put them at a Kasich luncheon instead of on the floor during the contested vote portion. Apparently state party officials were trying to keep Trump delegates off the floor during voting part.... it didn't work but the strategy was deviously brilliant. I wonder if similar stories will come out from other states.

I also expect that right now every single upcoming speech is being vetted for plagiarism and being re-written. They were apparently having a hard time getting speech writers for the convention, so it wouldn't surprise me if some devious writers had accepted the job and then inserted a bunch of plagiarized stuff.

If you are going to toss truth and integrity out the window, this is what happens.

@leslie110
Even if she did write it, the speech should have been double and triple checked by more than one person.

Trumps son is reportedly writing Trmps speech for Thursdsy night. That is if Trump gives it. A republican speechwriter said tha if Trump is forced to fire the campaign manager.......,......not good for Trump.

Is this the campaign blaming Melania for the plagiarized parts??

In a statement early Tuesday morning, senior Trump adviser Jason Miller said Melania Trump’s team of speechwriters “took notes on her life’s inspirations and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking.”

@leslie110 :

When the two cases are absolutely identical except one is a Republican and one is a Democrat then yes, you should acknowledge it lest readers conclude you're a hypocrite.

Well what else does that adviser mean by specifying that she supplied fragments and the speechwriters did the rest? Why even say that comment unless you are trying to distance yourself from offending "fragments"

@leslie110 :

EmoticonEmoticon Trump has spent $0 on Hillary so far and Hillary has spent at least $100MILLION (of Wall Street Super pac money) in battleground states against Trump and they are virtually even in the polls. Yes such a lousy campaign. Btw, he'll be the GOP nominee on Thursday night - was that a lousy campaign too?

You ran a better campaign than this. Just because people fall for his **** doesn't mean it is a well run campaign.

And he has spent very little money...and it shows.

And Trump has gotten almost $3 billion worth of "free" advertising. It seem he should be much, much higher in the polls.

The one part of Michelle Obama's speech Melania did not plagiarize "I love my country".

@JnJ :

yes. Slovenia!

@joepyeweed : I love how the Lib talking points go full circle. Melania Trump legally immigrated to this country. So basically your point is that immigrants to the U.S. don't love America. What a bigoted, xenophobic thing to say. Very sad.
