There is a lot more to gender than just what body parts one's has.Think about women that you know about, who are not trans, but are considered more masculine than the average woman; Or vice versa, think about men that you know, who are not trans, who are more feminine than the average man. Its a sliding scale.

@cjsummers :I'm probably going to think they're crazy. If on the other hand an extremely large portion of the population starts thinking they're chickens (or whatever), then I might start thinking I'm crazy. That's a pretty extreme example, though, and I think there is a discernible difference.If it bothers you that much, why not seek out a transgender community where you can ask questions face to face?

Yes, but your disagreement seems to be based upon ignorance, rather than a thoughtful information of facts about how gender is visually assigned at birth but its not completely formed in humans, both biologically and psychologically, until a few years later.There are measurable differences in the biological body chemistry and brain development between transpeople and cispeople.
