I think he'll pick Marco Rubio for VP.

@AverageJoe :
I just report what is going on but an increasing number of republicans are clamoring for Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin. I dont agree with their thinking at all but do see how that could be except if the republicans have to take someone from OK that speaks volumes about their situation.

@JnJ :

Nope. He may pick him, but that would be as foolish as everything else he's done. Rubio will never accept.

@AV8R :

Rubio has 20-25 years ahead of him. He wont waste this opportunity. For the record there are a lot of people pushing for Christie too. Some even think he will be the choice. I can not possibly imagine that happening and have expressed my views as such. It is two people from the same TV market and just about the same city.

I was told that in South Jersey which is the Philly TV market it would help as PA is a swing state. The reality is that the swing part of PA is between Philly and Pittsburgh which is outside the Philly TV market.

Chris Christie would be doubling up on Trumps strengths. Trump needs to compensate for his weakness - which means a female, Latino or AA running mate who has legislative experience.

Rubio would most certainly accept. I stand by my Rubio prediction. But def not Christie.

Trump needs to compensate for his weakness

@JnJ :

With that much compensation needed, he better pick Christ himself.

@billybob :

We can agree to disagree on that. Being tethered to Trump is like tying a bowling ball to your leg and jumping overboard.

Rubio could go back to Florida and run for governor where he has much more say and power or so he seems to think. It is possible he ends up with a job with one of the Florida professional sports team, probably in the Miami area.

Rubio has expressed deep and complete dissatisfaction with being one of many on the Hill. He did not realize that the Hill is really run on the seniority system The same thing would apply as VP he would not have real say to influence things and would still be dealing with the Hill. The sun might rise from the west before Rubio agrees to VP with Trump or anyone else.

@JnJ :
What about Ambassador to Cuba? He would get experience foreign service to add to his resume Just saying. I am not at all a Rubio fan but that is a distinct possibility in a Trump administration.

I may have misunderstood your post billybob. I thought you were implying that Rubio WOULD take a VP slot with Trump. My belief is he will NOT. After reading your followup, I think we agree?

Your flowery language got me all discombobulated.

Rubio is not at all a team player and has even said as much in his speeches.

So tomorrow is the primary here in Indiana. Yesterday I was out in the front yard working.

A truck drove by and someone yelled, "VOTE TRUMP!"
