@billybob : Do you know that Mother Teresa visited Peoria in 1995? She attended a Mass at St. Mary's and then stayed around to greet the people. Every visitor was gifted a small medal from her. As I recall no one was turned away. In the garden in front of St Mary's Cathedral you'll see a beautiful almost life sized statue of St. Teresa commemorating her visit. The sculpture was created by local artist Lonnie Stuart. Speaking of the Nobel prize, I do think Malala ' s prize was most deserved. I watched her acceptance speech in utter awe.

I recall when Mother Theresa was here. I actually went down to the cathedral to try and see her but it was super crowded and the weather was nasty, so I gave up.
