It's $36.40/month, or $436.80 annually, approximately.

@cjsummers :
Yikes! We pay about 2/3 that amount for delivery of The Wall Street Journal!

It would be interesting to know what percent of subscribers cancel their subscription after each price increase.

What will happen to local news if the PJS goes under. I'll tell you: It will die. Unless people start advertising on alternative news sources. Of makes donations. Or pays for memberships. The news if out there. But you have to PAY PEOPLE A DECENT SALARY for them to go out and collect it.

I support editorially, a $15 minimum wage. Other than that, I have no comment.

For many years, my wife and I just subscribed on Saturdays and Sundays. When we had to cut back, we went to Sundays and holidays. My wife likes reading the Sunday paper, and looking through the ads and coupons. It's about the only print that I read, but then I go online to look at reader comments on stories.

My beef is when I resubscribe, I get told it's 13 weeks, but it's actually 10-11 weeks with that "Extra" once a month that I never read. I even asked to not include it, but they always do.

Haven't gotten the paper in years. Compare a paper with one from the 1960's. There is nothing in it worth while anymore. It used to be an evening ritual to read it. Now you can skim one in 5 minutes if even that. Not worth it.
