For various reasons - meaning it's not desirable location and it is priced like it's space at Mall of America. That's why nothing has materialized.

So with twittergate, ball park loan forgiveness, and now $700,000 in interest forgiven on this project - the Mayors "leadership" has cost the taxpayers over $2 million directly. Add in Firefly and other losers and the last thing that should get him is re-elected.

Don't forget about Mid-town plaza and Cub Foods. Just saying.

Could Ardis be a contender to Maloof as the mayor who has squandered the most money for the city? Maloof had a few really big things. Ardis could nickel and dime his way to the top of the record sheet.

@DennisinPeoria :IMO, that one was the worst, because of the number of homes that were demolished for it.

The ballpark is a close 2nd.....Forcing a business to close by using eminent domain.

@billybob :It has horrible service and overpriced incorrectly cooked food which I feel is the reason local, repeat business has dried up. If anything, the two hour parking limits are more of an issue than the reverse angle parking. If you want business downtown and have a glut of parking, let people park there for more than two hours at a time.

I agree. At some point from late 2015 to early summer of 2016 the dinner menu was severely downsized and it was nothing more than a glorified hamburger joint. They gave us a menu and disappeared. After about 10 minuteswe just got up and left. We got our car and went elsewhere. I know my way around so it wasn't much of a problem, just time consuming.
When they first opened they had some really good seafood items including delicious shrimp and grits that you very seldom, if ever, see on a menu in the Midwest

@billybob :Hearth in the Heights makes a really good shrimp and grits and even has a variation for vegetarians with mushrooms and grits which I tried because I LOVE mushrooms and it was awesome too. Check them out sometime and let me know what you thought!
