When you bail something out where would the money come from.

The second part I didn't think the city had extra money around.

Oh this is from the future Peoria residence.

I remember awhile back when Peoria gave a huge incentive package to a European tech company to come here.

Peoria lost millions on the deal and the company went under in just a few years.

I predicted the company would fail at the time Peoria brought them here. My reasoning? They hadn't updated their website in almost 2 years. They were a TECH company.

Why didn't a single person with the City see the obvious red flags? Why don't they ever see the red flags? I don't get it.

So the problem is in the city again. No people going downtown placing the blame and fault on others.

Good job Peoria

@tntrecycling
Earlier there was a fairly large number of area residents that did go down there for dinner at Table 19. Apparently, after the parking arrangement on Monroe St. changed the local business for Table 19 pretty much dried up.

Regarding the empty retail space, there were a number of people that were somewhat interested in that space. There was a dry cleaners and a couple of coffee houses. For various reasons nothing materialized.

I always loved visiting Illinois Antiques. I was sorry to see that place shut down. One of the vendors in there had a huge collection of old maps of Peoria and the surrounding counties, including engineering maps of the city.

I was always going to buy some. Now I wish I had.
