Maybe a timer could be put on ignore, say two weeks and then it expires. Limit members to 4 ignores a month. So they can use their quota by ignoring two people full time (2 members x 2 weeks each ignore) or ignore 4 people a month for 2 weeks each. Limit the carnage.

@AV8R @JustRight I understand not everyone agrees on the two-way ignore, but it has to stand, despite some complaining. ; )One-way ignore does NOT stop fighting, unfortunately.
Two-way does stop fighting pretty well.Facebook and Twitter also have two-way blocking, and for good reason.The reality is that this web site does not generate any money, and all moderating is done for free in my free time...so unless you have a great idea to cause PDC to start generating lots of cash,....a feature like 2-way ignore that significantly reduces moderating headaches is going to stick around for the foreseeable future.Again, Facebook and Twitter use two-way blocking for similar reasons.

As far as I can tell, you only have two people blocking you who have posted in the past month, AV8R, so it really would not improve your outcome much...I imagine it wouldn't change things for the majority of people.

Ya, I'm not as widely hated as some may believe.

When I have used the function, it has been for relatively short periods of time. Now, I just roll my eyes, do a face palm and keep scrolling to the next post. The hostility in some threads sure keeps me from posting on them though. I am a little disappointed in myself for letting my passive/aggressive side take over now & then.

I like your posts @RambleOn, although we may occasionally disagree I find them to be forthright, honest and thought provoking. If I've learned anything about you from this forum, it's that you are a genuinely decent person. That's rare.
