My question is at what point does the press need to back off on hounding CIA or National Security officials for a story that needs to stay secret because of National Security? That's how leaks occur, because 'anonymous officials' are meeting up with press to tell them what's going on.
I do believe in transparency in government, something that the Obama administration could do a better job on; but there has to be a line drawn, when it comes to confidential data that has to do with the security of our nation. And if a government employee or a reporter for any print publication or electronic news source crosses that line, then they need to face the consequences.
