The office décor, was just one example of a bunch of unethical/illegal spending. The mileage was blatant stealing, and though he paid the mileage and the decorating back, he probably would not have if someone had not investigated it.

I don't think the government committed a crime in this case either. All of those records should be considered public information. Unless is related to national security or human resources, most congressional records should be public information, as they are bought and paid for by tax payers.

Clearly I'm no saint. Social Security has appointed me the overseer of one of my adult special-needs children's bank account. Only I can withdraw money/write checks on the account.

Every few months or so, Social Security makes me show them where the money is going. I keep receipts, bank statements, as much as I can for the paper trail. And it's not a lot of money.

I believe every politician should have to do the same.

I'm not comfortable with the CI recording conversations with Schock's staff or taking stuff from desk drawers. Not sure what the law says but it looks like he overstepped his bounds. I do think Schock's attorneys are going a bit to far in seeking to have the entire case dismissed.

I say let the courts decide. Soon all will know. He tried hard to help many yet people have already found him guilty.
