When I get home tonight, I've got to find the article that sorts through those numbers. Some of those numbers were due to situations like gang wars and domestic disputes. Do we really lump those into mass shootings?

@ChefKevin They are playing the numbers to fit their agenda same as they always do.

@EyeintheSky it is like "all" the school shootings that have taken place since Sandy Hook. A lot of them were gang or drug related AFTER school hours outside the building. They counted the guy who shot his estranged wife in a school parking lot in the wee hours of the morning. How is that a "school shooting"?

So we want people to talk/protest about Tyshawn Lee's killing but we don't think gang violence should be considered part of the stats for mass murders or school shootings?We have a tendency to not hype the gang stuff because we can differentiate gang associated violence from innocent bystander type crime. However Tyshwan Lee and the playground incident in NO were both innocent bystanders caught in gang related crime. Gangs are the United States terrorists.

They won't hype the gang gun stuff because they would have to do something about it and that would tick off the NAACP when the cops start arresting folks in droves.

If arresting people in droves was a successful way to fight gangs, no one would object.And of course we have that pesky constitution that requires proof and stuff.

Remember when they did the saturation patrols in the south end a couple years ago they had to get the blessing of NAACP before they could start doing it.
