Do we know if they took the carts? If this was a "group of juveniles" they could have easily pushed the carts out the door, grabbed the merchandise out of the carts, and took off running. Those new carts have two locking wheels, unlike the one wheel lock carts they used to have, which make them much harder to take. I don't think I've seen any of the new carts "loose" in the neighborhood.

They were long gone before the cops could finally respond thinking it was about a 20 minute delay after manager called them. He called about 5 minutes after somebody in area called to report the kids running with the carts.

@EyeintheSky If It was kids again where and what do the parents teach. Lets go to the store and steal some thing. Mom and Dad does it.

@EyeintheSky :Could well be the case. A few years ago a friend did stop in there for a few things. A woman arrived with about 6 kids running all over. It appeared to my friend like they knew what their individual mission was there. However, they did not plan for security and a cop to meet them when they got outside. So that makes me ask was there a security guard duty there this morning?It doesnt sound like it.

I have seen a security guard there. I know when the Bell ringers are out they are present. Kind of makes you wonder.
