@bwiser 1/3 pound one of the bigger burgers in the area

There are quite a few places which serve 1/2 pounders; think 1/3 is about average for a decent burger joint. Had a 1/2 pounder yesterday at Maquets in Pekin while hanging out with HipKat. It was a really darn good burger.

I was there a few days ago. The burgers and atmosphere were great. I will go again.

@Boi There are other chat threads you are free to comment on as well! I did see on facebook that the owners are the same as of Mango, I wonder why the subterfuge with "going out of business" when ownership remained the same. Think anyone had something against the owners? Perhaps a way to dump debt? Renovate under the old LLC bank account, go outta biz and start fresh? For being pretty young owners, their social media presence really suffered, an abandoned blog, non-updated FB page, no Twitter, gotta keep your name in my mind when I'm hungry and looking to go somewhere.

I don't really have an answer for those questions. I haven't commented on other threads because I just recently made this account to respond to a comment that was made on this thread.

I didn't know that the owners are the same people who had opened Mango. I can only guess that the burgers sold better than the fondue. Still, it is odd that they would go so far as to change the name and everything.

It's called rebranding. Sometimes it's the best way to go.
