It's interesting that none of those statements had anything to do with race. The statements had to do with family stability and wealth/poverty. And yet there was a racial division evident among that group of people. Why is that? The video doesn't answer that. The video says that having your parents married to each other and having a father figure really gives you a leg up in life. How can those things be encouraged/incentivized in a culture that no longer values traditional family structures? The video implies that private education (actually, just access to private education) gives you a leg up. Why is this when public schools spend more money per pupil than private schools and are run by the very government that we expect to help solve all these problems? I think the video is well-meaning, but simplistic, and doesn't provide any solutions.

Private doesn't have to take kids with major needs. SpEd ican be suuuuuuper expensive!
And many of the parents who have high-need children can't afford private, so that option is off the table.
Private can cherry pick. The cost and performance per child is the worst argument I hear for private vs public finding of education.
