@Whit : I saw nothing in her post that warranted that response. And from what I've seen on the various South Peoria facebook profiles I've checked, they seem to think the idea of hitting up residences or leaving town is just paranoid white folk. I don't think there's a conspiracy though, I just think it's paranoia on the part of people in those areas to think they could be a target.

When my wife got home from work yesterday, she said that the EP and all Peoria Krogers had closed at 6 pm. I also saw memes on FB about a crowd gathering at CVS in Bartonville. While I can't verify that was happening, still mind boggling that folks are doing these things to businesses.

Looking like a lot of this locally was online rumors.

It's possible the rumors were intentionally put out to mislead people, including law enforcement, to divert attention from where they really intended to strike. There are some reports that just might have been the case regarding some incidents in Denver and Dallas and maybe elsewhere too. How much of that went on around the country we will probably never know. For that to have happened on a large scale would have required some degree of organization which does seem, to some degree, to be lacking.

There are were reports last night of vandalism and spray painting at some extremely high end jewelry stores around Trump Tower in NYC . The windows are so thick that its quite hard to imagine they were successful in smashing the windows. Plus the windows are always, mostly emptied at night and jewelry put in the vault.
Amazingly, there are a number of reports from
elsewhere where jewelry store windows were smashed and absolutely nothing was taken.
