Citizen app is live in Peoria

If you're not aware, it's a crime reporting app that alerts you to crimes in your selected area in real time, with chat boxes, user submitted live videos, and playback from the police scanner.

It also does something the Peoria police don't want us to have. Crime mapping.

Crime mapping is dishonest.... it never accounts for population density.

It's not really live though because the scanner feed is on a 30 minute delay.

Yea, but it's delayed 30 minutes. Only city of Peoria though. Everyone else is still in the clear and can be heard live with a digital scanner like EP, Tazewell and Peoria sheriff's and all fire depts.
