Peoria Speedway closing? Say it ain't so!

That sucks if its true even though I haven't been there in ages. I bow my head in same that I didn't support it more often. Too bad they didn't put it off another year so it could have been 80 years.
One of my dad's co-workers raced there and dad was one of his mechanics. We could sit in the stands. His friend tried to get us down on the field but mom said there was too much cussing and smoking going on.

Why is it closing?

Noise city and lack of responsibility.

An interview with West Peoria Mayor Dillon and a young race car driver didn't get us any answers either. But Dillon is hoping someone will buy it, open it up again. $550,000 is the price.

Where is "Noise city", I've never heard of it before?
