Not that it matters now, but gas stations in NP and Creve Coeur have dropped about .10 to $4.88-$4.89.
I'm sure Peoria is still at $4.99.

We will pay or stop driving. Choice of buying gas putting food on the table and paying the bills month to month continue to go up. These are just the start of what's to come.
See some gas prices go lower in CC, NP and Pekin, about a dime. Casey's on Rt 29 in Pekin was 4.86. Still way too high, but then maybe Big Oil executives need to refurbish a yacht or mansion.... My opinion and I'm sticking to it.
Oil jumped $3.00 after Iran said the enriched uranium had to stay in Iran. Netanyahu and Trump had two really tense phone calls on the subject this week. Netanyahu wants to "joint venture" with the US to retrieve it.

@PeoriaIllinoisan :
I noticed yesterday a lot of West Peoria gas dropped to that. And even Beachlers dropped a dime to 4.89.
Progress? No, not as long as things overseas don't get resolved.

In the meantime, allegedly oil prices are dropping because of discussions of a peace deal overseas.
We'll see exactly how fast gas prices drop once the deal is signed, sealed and delivered. I'm thinking it won't be back to pre war prices before November elections.

$4.439/gal at Costco today. $5.239/gal Premiun...
Knowing that I need an oil change soon, I bought 7 quarts of oil today.... been reading that lubricating oils will soon be disproportionately hit and that oil change places may run out of lubricating oil. Supposedly we cannot make lubricating oil out of what is extracted here in the U.S.. It is one product that is very dependent on overseas heavier grade oils.

The way I see it, gas prices are affected mainly by: 1. Obviously, state motor fuel taxes
2. Proximity to refineries/transportation costs
3. Greed ( this is what we're charging syndrome) Various governments may get blamed , sometimes unfairly, as costs are often driven by #2 more than we realize. Just my 2 cents

Trump told the media today "I don't care if Iran negotiations are over" and oil jumped 6% after he said it.
