@AnneC: I had a text message from a friend in Peoria. He said it had been rumored for awhile around Pekin.He said this afternoon the details appeared on the Journal Star website. It has been a really busy day and did not have time to copy and paste it. Apparently, rumors is that one of the places had considered opening in Peoria first but changed their mind and are going to Pekin.

I think one was a supper club and the other something Seafood & Grill?

I had a few minutes and read the Journal Star article about this. I have to say I am very intrigued about Jos Steak and Seafood. I recognized the chefs name Oliver Valenzuela and Olivers Cafe, his former place, in the Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago. We have friends who live in that neighborhood and earlier this year we ate there twice in the same weekend. It was delicious. The desserts were truly outstanding.He closed that place late summer. I dont know what the deal was but now he is in Pekin. That could be a restaurant definitely keeping an eye on.

I've heard the term a lot but never known... what exactly is a "supper club?"
