You would never consider hot dogs much of a meal (Unless you eat 4 or 6) Dac' in Morton has taken them to a new level.

Hot Dog stands in Chicago take their trade very serious. Someone I know was called out in front of everyone for asking for ketchup on their Hot Dog.🌭 ( It wasn't me ) I definitely know better, and would never do that anyway. If you are ever around Wrigley Field, I highly recommend Byron's Hot Dog Stand. 🌭

There's a guy on YouTube that walks around New York trying the various dog carts ....some of those I wouldn't even let my k9 try. Any they go for upwards of 5 bucks a dog for simple condiments like mustard and onion.

Hope they use a decent size, good quality dog. Nothing is worse than all those good copies and they give you a 1 oz turkey dog on a giant bun top of the ton of stuff.

I'm sorry, but I grew up putting mustard and ketchup on my hot dogs. My dad always did it, never thought otherwise. Never like relish, and onions bother me.

I'm not a fan of the overall push to say X is great because it now has a ton of toppings. (A food is great if it's great in its traditional, plain form. I'm fine with established regional topping combinations)

But they say it's a smoked hot dog so it might be decently unique by itself.

I grew up closer to Chicago and regularly had Chicago dogs, but never learned the ketchup hate. If I have a choice, I'd prefer a Chicago dog drug through the garden, or a chili dog vs a hot dog with ketchup. But I'm not going to eat a dry dog with no ketchup if other toppings aren't available .

@CCubs : I grew up near a place called Gene & Judes near O'Hare. They had one bottle of ketchup and it was tethered to a pole out in the parking lot.

I never did understand the ketchup hate either. I mean, it makes sense that a "Chicago dog" can't have ketchup for the same reason a lemon merengue pie can't have oranges in it. "Chicago Dog" is a specific set of toppings. But I do like to dip my fries in ketchup!
