There's more cops out tonight than ankle eating flies!

I drove a passenger to Bloomington and passed four cops, which is a good number. On the way back I saw a whopping nine! On 30 miles of road! Marked and unmarked cars, SUVs and trucks were all out.While that was going on, the city cops were dealing with an early evening double shooting.Those damn biting flies are still all over the golf courses, btw. I haven't noticed them in my yard, which is odd. In any event I hope this little break in the weather helps.

PeoriaIllinoisan: on the other side of the coin, the amount of mosquitoes after all that rain was unreal. I think the heat must have killed a lot of those little bastards off.
