Only 60% ??????

At some point, House Speaker Johnson will have to reconvene the House into session. Then he will have to follow the Constitution to swear in Arizona's Adelita S. Grijalva, that he's been putting off supposedly because of the shutdown. Which I call BS on. There must other business that the House needs to take care of. Like the Farm Bill that expired in 2023.
Anyway, when she is sworn in, she will sign the petition to bring the Epstein files release to the floor for a debate and vote. Knowing many GOP also want this vote to happen, it may finally break the logjam in finding out whose names are in the Epstein files. Johnson must know that DJT's name is in there, that's why he's found reasons not to swear Grijalva in. And he's getting orders from DJT to find ways to stop that process.

Apparently the Shutdown, with agencies not getting money to work with unless very essential, hasn't stopped our glorious Dictator/Leader from spending US taxpayer money (Secret Service, aides still get paid?) to play golf in Florida and host a "gilded age Great Gatsby" Halloween party type with billionaire friends at Mar-A-Lago. www.rawstory.com/tru mp-2674256287/If I recall, any shutdown during Obama's term, he stayed in Washington working and negotiating with Democrats and Republicans to come to an agreement to pass a bill or CR to reopen the government, even on a weekend. @Billybob, let me know if I'm wrong on that fact.

Do not forget one other thing, , Sen. Thune was in contact with Trump a few times during Trumps Asia trip. On the final day, Thune asked him to have a meeting with congressional leadership this weekend at the White House. Trump told him that many people were coming to the White House with samples of paint, chandeliers and draperies to decide what will go in the ballroom, Several hours later Trump called back and offered a 45 minute meeting with congressional leadership. Thune declined and told him they needed more than 45 minutes. To his credit, Thune was adamant that the Democratic leadership be at the meeting. So, here we are.
The House has been back in their districts since before the shutdown, The White House and Speaker Johnson have been getting several dozen earfuls of the mood in the country and so here we are. Schumer is nowhere to be seen or even heard from.

This is why I've disliked Trump for over 50 years. Before this, him and Fred were found to have violated the Fair Housing Act. It's not his politics that made me dislike him. It's crap like this. I disliked him when he was a democrat and independent.

In the 60 minutes interview Trump's lies really unravel and overtake him. O'Donnell (the interviewer) doesn't call him out though. He claims he doesn't know CZ (binance guy) yet he pardoned him. Trump says he doesn't know him, but yet he knew that he had only served 4 months. If you don't know of him, how would you know that? Trump also claimed that it was *another* Joe Biden witch hunt.
BTW - Trump family made a lot of money from binance ventures.

"60 Minutes" actually posted a transcript of the entire 75 minute interview, to show pieces that would make him look "not as good" were edited out, or how he perhaps lost his cool with O'Donnell, and risk another lawsuit.
The actual broadcast was only 28 minutes long. If/When I have time today, I'll look for it, post links here, so folks here can see what actually was said.
