I read that while he didn't really break protocol in how he dressed, it's obvious he wanted to stand out in his blue suit, when everyone else was pretty much dressed in black suits. And there's a report that he insisted on being seated in the front row. And if a search is done, a pic of him on his phone during the service can be found; however, it's possible that pic was taken before the funeral started. I also find it humorous about him falling asleep during the funeral. Jet lag perhaps?

There were other "dignitaries" in blue suits, but at least they had on the requested black tie. According to a report I read, his suit was a brighter blue and he had on a blue tie to match.
