Can sitting President pardon himself of any indictments or financial fines? That's the impression I'm getting with DJT and his attorneys constantly looking for ways to delay any trials, hearings, or payments of fines. The Constitution doesn't specify self-pardons, only granting pardons to others who have committed crimes against the U.S.
But I'm sure if DJT wins, he'll have an army of taxpayer-paid US attorneys find loopholes so he can, including bringing it before his Conservative buddies in the Supreme Court. (Fortunately, the SCOTUS hasn't been too favorable to some of his cases lately)

The blog page that former President Donald Trump launched less than one month ago, after his team suggested he'd be launching a major new social platform, has been permanently shuttered.

 

Jason Miller, a senior aide to Trump, told CNBC that the page "will not be returning."

 

Miller confirmed to CNN that the page had been scrubbed.

 

"It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on," Miller said.

 

Those who attempt to visit the page are now greeted with a web form asking for their contact information to receive updates through email or text message.

 

The blog, called "From the Desk of Donald J. Trump," was launched May 4 and came months after the former President had been banned from Facebook (FB) and Twitter (TWTR).

 

At the time, the page was billed as a platform by which Trump could speak directly to his supporters.

 

Fox News, which first reported that Trump had started the blog, dubbed it a "new communications platform."

 

But late last month, Trump disputed Fox's framing in a statement.

 

"This is meant to be a temporary way of getting my thoughts and ideas out to the public without the Fake News spin, but the website is not a platform," he said.

Is Donald Trump faking it? In a video, posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, the ex-president attempted to recite the Lord's Prayer without a teleprompter, but it looked like he had no idea what the words were.

Donald Trump apparently didn't go to church on Easter Sunday.

 

Of course, people couldn't get enough of the clip. One person wrote, "Donald Trump is a fake Christian. We all knew it," while another said, "Check out his lips he's never recited the Lord's Prayer in his life he doesn't know the words. He's a FRAUD and a FAKER."

 

A third person added, "He's done this before with the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem, too. He sways, moves his lips, and pretends he knows the words for APPEARANCE sake. He's a FRAUD!" while a fourth person stated, "Someone who sells Bible for $60 and doesn't know the Lord Prayer is not only a fake Christian but an AntiChrist too. Very dangerous."
