Trump's 'Hookers' Claim in Recent 'Golden Showers' Speech Reignites Steele Dossier Truthers

A long-dormant group of Steele Dossier truthers has come back to life, energized by a detail revealed by former President Donald Trump at a recent rally in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

 

For reasons that no one really knows, Trump opted to rally support among the MAGA base by bringing up the lewdest - and unverified and/or debunked - claims against him from the 2016 election.

 

Returning to the old chestnut of "the greatest witch hunt of all time," the former president shared a story about how Melania Trump needed no convincing that the "golden showers" allegations of the infamous Christopher Steele dossier were not true. Trump said:

 

He was with four hookers. You think that was good that night? To go up and tell my wife 'It is not true, darling. I love you very much. It's not true!' Actually, that one she didn't believe because she said 'He's a germaphobe, he's not into that. He is not into golden showers, as they say, they call it. He's not.'

 

I don't like that idea. I thought that would be a big problem. I was going to have a rough night. But that one, she was very good on. She said 'You're okay on that one.'"

 

The aggrieved victimization and conspiratorial claims are all well-worn themes of Trump's speeches, but there was one detail that stood out. Thanks to the eagle-eyed editors at Newsweek, who wrote an article titled "One Detail in Trump's 'Golden Shower' Denial Raises Questions" and collected several social media posts focused on the number of hookers Trump cited.

 

The Steele Dossier does NOT mention the number of prostitutes alleged to have visited Trump in the Moscow Ritz Carlton hotel room; it only says "a number." But since Trump said it was four, some people have only chosen to see confirmation or admission because that's where we are now.

 

One may wonder why Trump would even bring this up again, especially in a hotly contested and bitterly divided partisan environment. Then you see braindead reactions from people so eager to relitigate a news narrative from which Trump clearly benefitted politically, and it makes perfect sense.

Donald Trump went after his political enemies in a Thanksgiving message posted on Truth Social on Thursday.

 

The former president focused his attacks on those involved in his civil fraud trial as well as on President Joe Biden.

 

He wrote: "Happy Thanksgiving to ALL, including the Racist & Incompetent Attorney General of New York State, Letitia 'Peekaboo' James, who has let Murder & Violent Crime FLOURISH, & Businesses FLEE; the Radical Left Trump Hating Judge, a 'Psycho,' Arthur Engoron, who Criminally Defrauded the State of New York, & ME, by purposely Valuing my Assets at a 'tiny' Fraction of what they are really worth in order to convict me of Fraud before even a Trial, or seeing any PROOF, & used his Politically Biased & Corrupt Campaign Finance Violator, Chief Clerk Alison Greenfield, to sit by his side on the 'Bench' & tell him what to do; & Crooked Joe Biden, who has WEAPONIZED his Department of Injustice against his Political Opponent, & allowed our Country to go to HELL; & all of the other Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, Democrats, & RINOS, who are seriously looking to DESTROY OUR COUNTRY.

 

He added: "Have no fear, however, we will WIN the Presidential Election of 2024, & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

 

The frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination is facing a civil fraud trial brought against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James. The $250 million lawsuit alleges Trump and executives at his company fraudulently inflated his wealth on his financial statements, which were used to secure loans and insurance. Judge Arthur Engoron is overseeing the trial and has already ruled the defendants had committed fraud. Allison Greenfield is Engoron's law clerk.

 

A gag order in the case previously prevented Trump from criticizing court officials, but last week a state intermediate appeals court, headed by Judge David Friedman, granted a temporary stay on the order, effectively suspending it due to the "constitutional and statutory rights at issue."

 

Engoron had previously fined Trump $15,000 in total for violating the order twice after commenting about Greenfield, including falsely claiming she was in a relationship with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

 

The gag order will remain lifted until Judge Friedman rules on whether or not it is unconstitutional.

 

Newsweek has contacted representatives for Trump by email for comment.

 

Meanwhile, Trump complained that there was no food left for him at a luncheon for Texas state patrol officers he attended last weekend to celebrate the federal holiday, which began in 1789 under then-President George Washington.

I hope Nikki Haley continues to do well in the debate and upcoming primaries. Do;n't know that I would vote for her, but at least the USA would have a chance at surviving if she won the White House. Donald Trump is a raging maniac!

I think we would be better off with Christie. He's a bully and I don't agree with a lot of his politics but I think he's better than anyone else running in the GOP and we would get back to "politics as usual" instead of the insanity.

Even if it was legal, then the government can also crack down on Fox News because of its "negative" coverage of President Biden and former President Obama. I also didn't see Trump mention anything about Fox's treatment of him after he left office, because it hasn't been as "nice" to him either.
