Where is the Department of Government Efficiency?
Anybody remember that group? They were going to check back in every so often and make adjustments as they saw fit. What happened? Is the government running as efficiently as possible? Wasn't Elon Musk very highly thought of by Trumpo? Did they just get the contracts, information, and money they needed, and that's it? DOGE,.... where are they now?

We have the Iran War. We have increasing oil and gas prices. Long lines at airports. Stock markets falling. His cabinet members trying to discuss these important issues.
So what does the foggy headed guy in charge decide to divert the meeting topics to?

@DennisinPeoria : I guess he will sign for the new currency with a WH Sharpie. Can't believe the Sec. of Treasury has been convinced to put his signature on currency. Will have to trade in at the bank if I got any of it!

I will NOT carry any money with Trump's signature or likeness on it in my wallet! It will go back where it came from, or to the bank. I might even burn it, before I would carry it on me.

Putting this here instead of the Moonshot thread due to content:I thought there was a strict NO DEI rule for anything that receives federal funds? No matter when this crew was picked? Not only is there a female and an African American, there's also a Canadian! So will we see a 3 am rant on someone's Truth Social about this after the liftoff? Or the POTUS doesn't think about DEI in this case? Also, since the liftoff is in Florida, maybe he'll stop his extended Easter golfing vacation long enough to attend the launch?

The Army suspended the aircrew flying military helicopters by Kid Rock's house over the weekend, a U.S. official said Tuesday.

 

On Saturday, musician Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, posted a video on X showing him standing in the backyard of his Tennessee home as a military helicopter hovered for several seconds and another flew close by.

 

"God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her," read a post accompanying the video. Rock also used profanities to lambast California Gov. Gavin Newsom in the post, which has been seen more than 10 million times.

 

The Army later identified the aircraft as AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the Nashville area and stated that "appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found." A military spokesperson said Monday that the helicopters flew from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to the Nashville area.

 

"Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations," the Army said in a statement Monday. "An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements."

 

A spokesman for the 101st Airborne Division, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, said the flying helicopters were not related to Nashville's "No Kings" protests that took place over the weekend and were "entirely coincidental" with the demonstrations.

Doesn't it seem too coincidental that the President has NOW decided to address the nation Wednesday night at 8 pm CDT about the US/Israeli "War" on Iran?
His address is scheduled just 2.5 hours after the launch of Artemis II (if everything is a go for launch), and the nation will be reading, watching about that even after it goes into orbit.
The Com-in-Chief should have addressed the nation 24 hours after the attack, to present why, how, and a exit strategy, in addition to a plea for oil companies and traders to keep oil prices down. Instead, he relied on 2 am and 3 am postings on his Truth Social, or speaking to reporters on AF1. And he probably didn't have any advisors or speechwriters to keep him on script anyway...just like he won't tomorrow night.

And NPR! Glad some judges are stepping up and referring to the constitution. Will be interesting to see how the Supreme Court will handle "Birthright Citizenship" with DJT sitting in the front row. Need some action prior to mid-terms in reference to his efforts to nationalize the election process. State's rights is a big issue. With DJT's efforts to "steal " the November mid-terms, the judges are the last resort in maintaining some semblance of a Representative Democracy.

Also, yesterday a federal judge STOPPED all construction on the White House ballroom until Congress appropriates the money. Don't see that happening anytime soon. Judge pretty much went scorched earth in his ruling.Occasionally, an opportunity to sit in on a Supreme Court hearing does come up. For this session , if an opportunity came up, my choice would have been either today's hearing or the tariffs, The opportunity came up on the tariffs, There was absolutely no guarantee one would come up for today. Now, with Trump there today, that would have sucked all the oxygen out of the room.
