Donald Trump's ex-wife once said Trump kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed
www.businessinsider. com/donald-trumps-ex -wife-once-said-he-k ept-a-book-of-h
According to a 1990 Vanity Fair interview, Ivana Trump once told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that her husband, real-estate mogul Donald Trump, now a leading Republican presidential candidate, kept a book of Hitler's speeches near his bed.

...

When Brenner asked Trump about how he came to possess Hitler's speeches, "Trump hesitated" and then said, "Who told you that?"

"I don't remember," Brenner reportedly replied.

Trump then recalled, "Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of 'Mein Kampf,' and he's a Jew."

Brenner added that Davis did acknowledge that he gave Trump a book about Hitler.

"But it was 'My New Order,' Hitler's speeches, not 'Mein Kampf,'" Davis reportedly said. "I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."

Unholy Night: Trump's White House Christmas Coup Party
factkeepers.com/unho ly-night-trumps-whit e-house-christmas-co up-party/
Christmas at the White House in 2020 was a special time. Friends, family and supporters all getting together to celebrate the season, and plan a coup.
It was a Christmas party at the Trump White House, and despite the festive decorations, the trees and the wreaths and the red-and-green bunting, the mood must have been grim.

A few days earlier, the U.S. Supreme Court had firmly rejected a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas seeking the overthrow of election results in Georgia and several other states. That seemed to have been Donald Trump's last, best hope of staying in office, and with that decision reality was setting in.

Over drinks, Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis apologized for the failure to Dan Scavino, Donald Trump's social-media alter ego. But as Ellis later recounted the conversation to Fulton County prosecutors, an excited Scavino told her not to fret:

SCAVINO: "Well, we don't care, and we're not going to leave."
ELLIS: "What do you mean?"
SCAVINO: "The boss is not going to leave under any circumstances. We are just going to stay in power."
ELLIS: "It doesn't quite work that way, you realize?"
SCAVINO: "We don't care."

Think about that: "The boss is not going to leave under any circumstances. We are just going to stay in power."

The question is, how? How did they think they were going to pull that off?

By that time all the votes had been cast, counted and certified. Dozens of judges in dozens of courtrooms across the country had rejected legal challenges. Local, state and federal investigators, including firms hired by the Trump campaign, had all concluded there was no fraud to be found. After all that, how was it still possible to think that "The boss is not going to leave under any circumstances?"

Because a coup attempt was already underway.

The timing of the Ellis/Scavino conversation tells us a lot. Just the day before, on Dec. 18, 2020, Trump had sent out a tweet demanding that Gov. Brian Kemp call a special session of the General Assembly to overrule Georgia voters and hand Trump the state's 16 electoral votes.

We're sure Trump idolizes other dictorial leaders (N. Korea, China, Russia), so he wanted to be like them. He apparently thought being President was going to be like a being CEO of a big corporation, with no one to tell him "no, you can't do that because you have a Congress and a Constitution to go by" You hear about coups in third world countries, not the USA. If that guy thought they could stay in power by not leaving on January 20th, 2021, the US military would gladly usher him out, because as of Noon EST, he was no longer their Commander in Chief. He was so arrogant and narcissistic, that's why he never conceded, and he never met Biden for lunch on Inauguration Day.

@DennisinPeoria :
He let everyone know before the election that he was thinking about this. I don't know why it's still not evident yet to the cultists. He was asked interview after interview if he would leave the office peacefully if he lost and he said something like "we shall see". He's done so much damage to this country, it's hard to believe anyone can utter that he was the best president ever. There is clearly a large portion of Americans with cognitive dissonance. They are truly the deranged ones.

On Truth Social, this was posted about the death of former 1st Lady Rosalyn Carter:

www.centralillinoisp roud.com/news/nation al/ap-reactions-to-t he-death-of-ros

"Former President Donald Trump said Carter "earned the admiration and gratitude" of the nation. "From her days as a U.S. Navy spouse, to the Georgia Governor's Mansion, to her tenure as First Lady of the United States, and her later work at the Carter Center and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, she leaves behind a legacy of extraordinary accomplishment and national service," Trump said on Truth Social."

Who wants to bet that this was actually written by a staff person, not Trump himself? It just doesn't sound like his usual "Look at me, what I'm doing, how I'm being targeted" etc. usual mantra.

But I could be wrong.

@skutfarcus : This also happened, but he may have made the comment is jest. He helped serve food at an event, then allegedly complained there was none left for him.
