I am down in FL and yesterday my sister and I were walking the Gordon River Greenway when JD flew in. I knew he was coming in but didn't know when. I kept looking at this black truck sitting along the perimeter fence... It was not there the day before. And then we got to Bakers Park and saw a heli just hovering forever. In hindsight, must have been security measures.

Jets go in and out of Naples so that wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

I heard they were showing the "Melania" movie on cross country flights, and people were still getting up and walking out.

@mypeez :
Picture looks like crowds protesting in Minneapolis or NYC maybe.

Or maybe Trump, Inc. offered a free Trump Mobile phone to whomever showed up. Along with a postcard with his face on it.

My opinion and mine alone and no one else.

Trump voodoo dolls with 'swollen cankles, attired in stripes' being sold by brewery

Minocqua Brewing company has been under fire from supporters of Donald Trump since it offered free beer on the day that he dies.

The brewery hasn't backed down from the controversy. In fact, it has been defiant, and if you don't believe it all you have to do is check the brewery's marketplace on its website.

Yes, folks … that is a Donald Trump voodoo doll that the brewery is selling for $24.

"Handmade with a vengeance and reclaimed deadstock fabric, the Trump Voodoo Doll features a reasonable-length tie in a Full Windsor, swollen cankles, and attired in stripes with a soupcon of wishful thinking. Your choice of three expressions: Smirk, Chucklefkr, and Sideeye. Feel free to customize your doll with hand makeup, large ear bandages, and a red hat. This item claims to be 8" tall and says it received 'exceptional' results on the cognitive test."

The brewery added a note that "due to overwhelming demand," the dolls are "Pre-Order Only" and will be delivered in 4-6 weeks.

@mypeez :
I follow them on fb. It's pretty funny at times. They've spent a lot of time in courtrooms, too.

The crowd picture above actually looks bigger than the crowd at DJT'S 2017 inauguration, lol.

Yeah, maybe on the very first day of Star Wars back in May of 1977. It was still pretty unknown movie with an unknown cast.

This doesn't involve The Don himself, but one of his supporters, it seems. From Nebraska:
A student-led Anti-ICE protest shows an SUV with a 2024 Trump Flag drive off and hit someone. Now, because another car passes the SUV, you can't tell if the victim intentionally stepped into street or not to hold up a sign. But it doesn't matter. After striking the student, he drives off without stopping. The victim was taken to the hospital, but injuries unknown.

The video may take a couple moments to load, but video doesn't lie. And it's not AI created.

@DennisinPeoria : I think that is not correct. While word of mouth is how we heard of it and immediately saw it on the second weekend. By then the line for Star Wars was a 100+ deep and Smokey was literally was 2 people. I don't think the duplex we saw it in even had Star Wars on it's opening weekend. From these articles, it sounded more like Fox knew what they had and intentionally created a limited supply to build demand.

"Smokey" outgrossed "Star Wars" that weekend by playing far more theaters (386 to 43). And it worked, immediately. The first weekend brought in about $11 million. In 2022 terms, that would be about $28,000 per theater.
...
The myth repeated often is Lucas, following cues from Fox, remained uncertain of the response, and then - with its initial unusual Wednesday opening - forgot it was opening day. Certainly, the huge initial surge (grossing $2.1 million on two weekdays, about $56,000 per theater, nearly all shows sold out) proved that something close to unprecedented was happening. And by then, word was already out and expectations sky-high.
