Looks awesome! I always like to grind in a brisket point in with the chuck. Now I want a burger for breakfast!!
@AntiRanchDrssng : Haha..If I feel fancy, short rib is my add in!
BTW that is a double slider for my babe..I had two singles, delish.
As much as I love those type of sliders, I have to be careful with how much onions are on one. I can handle a few chopped or finely minced onions, but otherwise my body and onions don't always get along.
OK, so this is a term that gets tossed around a lot.
Is there an official definition of "slider." or is it just a generic term for a small burger? I mean, I know that "Slider's" origin is as slang for White Castle burgers. I'm talking about nonwhitecasliean sliders.

As more restaurants started to have sliders on their menu, apparently, slider applies to small sandwiches that were steamed in the cooking process. Some years ago some NFL teams sold them in their stadiums on game day. They were bar b que sandwiches. Some places seem to call sliders any small sandwich.

In Albany, we called those "Steamed Hams."
Never really got into White Castle, but apparently 1lb of hamburger makes 16 sliders.
Not sure if I believe the CopyCat that they use peanut butter. White Castle Sliders Copycat Recipe

Years ago, we occasionally went to Downers Grove to visit family there. We stumbled upon one in Downers Grove and it is still there. Over time they opened more places not that far off of I-55 between Joliet and Chicago, Don't think they advertise them too much, if at all, along I-55. Either have to know they are there or do some research on their website.
One of the very best sliders ever was at their location in downtown Indianapolis at 55 W,South Street .

I thought that one of the DJs on KMOX radio in St. Louis in the late 70s / early 80s used to call them "Belly Bombers"? Strange how the Central Illinois region was bypassed. www.whitecastle.com/ locations?tab=castle
@AntiRanchDrssng : Have you tried those fake-meat burgers yet? Do you think they'll ever be competitive with real meat? Apparently the hamburger style fake-beef is most like the real thing.
@Joe : Yes. I say this far too often: it depends on who is cooking it. I've had two Impossible burgers. The first one was really good. This prompted me to order one somewhere else. Not good. What the first cook did is what most people have to realize is that one doesn't have to cook the bejeezuz out of them to get them done. They are pretty much already cooked. Get them hot, good enough. Not trying to kill e. coli, etc.
