Recommendations?

I live in an old building (which I love), built it 1904, I think. It's old, anyway. If I'm looking for someone who can help me fix and improve things in the old way, who do you recommend? The last time we were trying to get things improved, the people did not know how to improve old windows; they had to teach themselves as much as they could, but it was limited. It would be great if there were people in the area available who can help and know what they're doing.

Thanks for your help.

@PeoriaChronicle : Are you talking about just window glazing or old world carpentry restoration?

Just for laughs... Maybe check with Gregg Phillips? He might be able to teleport back the original craftsman. LOL

There's lots of people that SAY they can do it all but few that can. All the old school plasterers, carpenters, etc that I knew could do it have passed away.

Sorry, no help.

@PeoriaChronicle : I'd call the Carpenter's Hall Local 237 in East Peoria, (309) 698-1830. I had a bid construction project a number of years ago with a new(er) firm I had not worked with before. The Business Rep I spoke with was a straight shooter and gave an honest recommendation. It was a successful project and that company is still around. I'm certain the Hall would tell you who would have that skillset.
