Excellent question TnT.
That is progress.
Anybody?
My opinion is 50/50. That's why it's an excellent question. The real answer is No. Here is why.
Prolly is a literarily efficient term. Prolly created on the computer during typing.
If you think about it: Blacks tend to speak in more absolute terms. Such as "You did it, or you said it, or you are lying"
Thus, my disappointment with JPW, yesterday.
These absolute statements still serve as the tipping point, in many a homicide. Especially, when they are not true.
Had the victim used, prolly, the punishment would not have prolly been as severe.
Example:
"Hey hommie, you prolly jacked my whip."
Translation: Hey dude, you probably stole my car.
That'll get you ah Pupkinhead (beat upside your head, with the gun until your head swells), but its usually not a shootable offense.
Usually it goes down more like this:
You that n* (or MF), that jacked me, if anything is said at all. Then BOOM.
If the victim understood the message, he was guilty. If he didn't;/mistaken identity.
Either way, seldom is there a prolly, in Ebonics.
Other than me, did a White person type it. Keep count of who uses the word.
I don't count.
