My daughter spied them in downtown Chicago. Wonder how much MegaBus is going to cut into their ridership? They've added 27 Midwest towns to their stops, including Peoria.

Considering Megabus doesn't go to Chicago, I'd say 0%.

@PeoriaChronicle : They do, but not from Peoria. That's really stupid.

@kraziebill : Years ago we were driving out west; we were almost to Wyoming, and saw a Peoria Charter out front of Cabela's in Sidney, NE (back when Cabelas only had a catalog the one retail location) - always wished I had a picture of that. It was SO cool and unexpected being in BFE Nebraska only to see a red and white tour bus with PEORIA CHARTER blazing across it.

Peoria Charter seems to do very very well in the charter and package tour via bus business. They have a superb national reputation During the busiest travel times, you can see their buses in Times Square, parked around the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Even in Staunton Virginia.
They recently added a couple of trips per day from Peoria to ORD.Never could understand why they dropped MDW service, Took them a few times and the bus was always nearly full. For anyone going to the Loop, it's far more convenient and quicker on the CTA Orange Line than going to ORD and backtrack to the Loop on the Blue Line.
Regarding Megabus, is Megabus actually going to operate their buses to Peoria? Or are they selling seats on Burlington Trailways? Reason we ask, the places that Megabus is selling tickets to shows schedule times exactly as Burlington Trailways on the BT website. For decades now, the airlines have been allowed to codeshare with other airlines. So now are buses doing it too?

I've seen several PC busses at the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma, and several at the RiverWind Casino. Even spotted a few at the Hard Rock in Tulsa.

Saw a Peoria Charter bus very recently around 8:30am unloading some students at the corner of Jackson and Canal St, just across from
Union Station in Chicago, The driver was unloading their luggage and it seemed the bus was really full. Wasn't sure if it was from Peoria or not. I asked the driver. He said they do one round trip a day in each direction from Champaign to Union Station and on to ORD. Layover an hour and return the same route they came. That's the first I knew they had stops in the Loop area. Extremely convenient location, I think it just another example Peoria Charter thinks outside the box and survives through it all.

Peoria Charter Coach Company is a very well run business. Peoria can be proud of PCCC. They have been in business a long time, and will probably remain for many more years to come. They are family owned and I believe on the 3rd, or 4th generation of leadership. My understanding is that they treat their employees well. At one time I myself considered going to work for them as a possible driver. Keep up the great work Peoria Charter Coach Company.

For the ones that have used these over the years. Thanks for what they do. Not that I liked 33 1/2 hours traveling across the U.S. to Midland Texas. Did get to see and meet a few interesting people.

PCC has several trips for seniors. Dinner, theater and/or shopping. Some day trips and some over-night. We've been thinking about trying one. I just don't enjoy driving like I used to.

Yes, Megabus is serving Peoria from Denver via a partnership with Burlington Trailways.
