"The "America First" movement is facing a major internal rift. As "Operation Epic Fury" intensifies, a wave of skepticism is hitting the White House from the very people who put President Trump in office.
From Tucker Carlson to Marjorie Taylor Greene, prominent MAGA leaders are calling the strikes "disgusting" and a betrayal of the promise to end "forever wars."
The MAGA Divide
• Betrayal of Promises: Critics argue that a regime-change war in Iran is exactly what Trump campaigned against. Tucker Carlson described the operation as "absolutely disgusting and evil."
• "Zero Wars": Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed the administration, stating that voters chose "America First and ZERO wars," not the death of U.S. troops in the Middle East.
• The "Let Him Cook" Defense: On the other side, allies like Dan Bongino and Jason Miller are urging the base to trust Trump's judgment, arguing that taking out a 47-year threat is putting America first.
High Stakes for the Midterms
The timing couldn't be more sensitive:
• Casualties Change the Mood: While initial strikes on nuclear sites were popular, the death of three U.S. service members has shifted the conversation.
• Polls Showing Friction: Only 55% of Republicans currently approve of the operation-a significant drop from the near-universal support the President usually sees."

In 2020, news broke that Trump had not attended the dignified transfers of fallen service members in over two years, instead leaving Vice President Mike Pence to attend by himself.
Trump's absence was blamed on a February 2017 incident (less than a month after he first took office), where the father of a slain Navy SEAL refused to shake his hand, blaming him for authorizing a botched raid in Yemen.
In April 2025, Trump skipped the dignified transfer of four fallen Army soldiers to attend a golf tournament at Trump National Doral Miami.
Four additional service members have died since Trump continued his early Saturday morning tradition of bombing foreign nations.
The same man who can act all tough when he's posting on social media in his bathroom can't do the most important job of a president.
He can send men and women to war, but he won't be there to honor those who don't make it back.
For ten years, conservative media has worked overtime to portray the Fanta Fuhrer as pro-military.
I don't know, I'm pretty sure showing up for the families of fallen service members is quite literally the least you could do.
But he can't do that. Saturday is for golf. It's not for dead soldiers.
What did he call them back in the day? Suckers and losers, according to John Kelly, a retired four star general, who lost a son in Iraq.
He doesn't know anything about consequences. To be fair, when was he supposed to learn? Growing up, he always had Fred Trump around to bail him out of his bankruptcies, Roy Cohn to save him from his lawsuits.
The American people saved him from prison.
These endless wars are never ending.

But I swear the Commander (or Con?) in Chief had said he had made sure that the military was totally "resupplied" with arms, missiles and weapons after saying Biden failed to do it. He blamed and continues to blame Biden for everything even though he shut down or reversed any EO, funding, or actions taken between 2021 and 2025.
My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

So, which is it? The President and the Secretary of Defense (may as well call it War) have 2 different statements on how long DJT's and his buddy in Israel's Middle East War is going to continue. apnews.com/article/i ran-israel-us-03-02- 2026-cb42936de1d8c26 1be8f30f11c6665 apnews.com/article/t rump-iran-caine-hegs eth-85f4139b11e5191d 880a6e114e1b5a6 The WH "No more wars" guy and his secretary need to get it together. Sounds like neither know what the heck is going on. My opinion and mine alone and definitely not my employer's.
