The Noshery at Keller Station closed indefinitely.

It is being reported that The Noshery at Keller Station closed indefinitely citing increasing costs and staffing issues. Did anyone here eat there? How was it?

I went three times. The first two were pretty good. The third was underwhelming. The atmosphere was kinda cold and unwelcoming, though the staff was always nice and helpful.
I guess more staff for other eateries, although I know three people who have left the restaurant industry of late.

I was there to cover the Grand Opening. Thought it was different, unique. Some stuff a little pricey, but other two times I went, had a slice of pepperoni pizza. Decent size slice too, and didn't taste bad at all. Sorry to hear about their closing.

I ate there twice. Neither time was anything special. Simple lunches, both overpriced. But ALL food is overpriced these days. We have never really ate out a lot. But less now because of the outrageous costs.

@CCubs : Well, someone has to put $$ toward higher wages, higher food costs, higher energy costs, higher transportation costs, and higher service provider fees. If not to the consumer, then to whom?

A good place to start would be CORPORATE GREED!

I wanted to like the place, but it was easy to see that the place wouldn't last long.

@CCubs: Apparently they weren't greedy enough or they'd still be open.

I blame the Prospect and Knoxville intersection. That intersection is a cluster F... hard to figure out how to get to the Noshery and parking?.. omg That neighborhood around there has gone downhill since they shuttered the golf course.

It was a food court. A food court as a stand alone dining format is absurd. Food Courts belong in high transient traffic locations., like airports, train stations, and shopping malls.

@AntiRanchDrssng : That doesn't make sense. If you continually overcharge, or raise prices people will just stop buying. That is pretty much common sense. People like to put Avantis quality of food down. Yet Avantis is very successful and has been for a very long time. That is because it is a GREAT VALUE.

Food courts and food halls depend a great deal on foot traffic, Been to a number of them through the years. So far. have not been to one where people mostly drove to it, There has to be something nearby that generates foot traffic. No foot traffic in that location which is no where near anything resembling pedestrian friendly either,

@billybob : I think they were counting on getting traffic from the Rock Island Trail. While that may have some benefit 8 months of the year at best, this time of year is no help.
