Today is Graham's funeral in DC. We shall see if he goes or "can't make it."

@billybob : What is the legal status of his being absent? Reading about this online seems like the "rules" are pretty loose at the Federal level, but imply a leave of absence can be granted by the Senate. Not that this applies, but in Illinois a 30 day absence can be interpreted as abandonment of one's position.

@mypeez :
The rules are indeed very loose. It is our understanding that he has signed a few papers recently and constituents services is operating normally. There is only a few days left on the legislative calendar for this session so unfortunately this all may blow over.

But, the real test may come when the Rs need one more vote to pass legislation or a confirmation. It could get real interesting, if the Republicans need one more vote to confirm Todd Blanche as AG. That scenario really cannot be ruled out at this point.

Most likely they wont need McConnells vote on the senate floor.Most likely there will not be a confirmation vote by the full senate. They dont even have enough votes to report Todd Blanche out of committee. The committee vote set for tomorrow has been canceled.

I would think if he's in a rehab center in Kentucky, a local TV station would try to get an interview with him, or at least get video shots of him getting therapy.
