Jubilee College State Park Anybody ever gone there for hiking, picnics, horseback riding, or even fishing? I also saw there's sunflowers there, but do they bloom this time of year? (Totally uneducated about sunflowers, lol)
Just seeking a little info for a future Scenic Route video. I may head out there after work on Monday, see what catches my eye.

The sunflower fields are on the west side of the property. They didn't plant last year. Not sure if they plan to this year.

Jubilee is very popular among the morel hunters. The state started doing controlled burns there a few years back... that has only helped the morels. Morels respond favorably to fire. They are more abundant in burned areas.

Been many years ago but yes walked many of them trails. Peoria work release center was right down the road from there back then. Plenty of deer and other animals to see as well.
They have a mid-evil fair that comes once a year.

@Horsefly :
It was the Olde English Faire, but the last one was in 2019. Now just a memory.

Another place I camped one night testing out new camping gear. I didn't come across a lot of sites that were kinda secluded...more like a place for motorhomes, trailers, etc.
Small lake which yielded a few bluegill.
