Some Congress Republicans finally growing a spine. Although largely symbolic, and the Senate will never pass it.

Now wait for raging Truth Social posts at 2 am against those GOP who sided with Democrats, saying they're bad Representatives, the District GOP party needs to get another person to run as independent in November, and I'll endorse them, etc.
My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

@DennisinPeoria :
Watching the party bow down, even after it's already been done, makes you wonder if it's just to cover something up or push their agenda further.

@tntrecycling : The US blockage of the straight of Hormuz combined with Iran's bombing of oil infrastructure has caused the price to go up. If the blockade ends then prices should come down. But low oil prices are bad for the US financial system.

@MadScientist : No matter what happens, the outcome remains the same. It's like it ends overnight, even though this fight keeps going on and never seems to end. How long do we have to keep paying for what's going on? If 30 million people stopped for a day, how would it change the world?

@MadScientist :
Also, there has been severe damage to the oil fields infrastructures. That has to be rebuilt before we can get back to 100 percent production, If the war ended today it would be several before there is a return to full production and lower prices

@billybob : Right, the oil price can remain high for some time after the blockade ends, and this allows interest rates to be lowered and the economy to grow with minimal inflation!

Right, Except that there is some fear the prime rate will be rising soon, The rate on treasury bills has gone up recently. Interest rates on mortgages has gone up too

And do people think that an overseas war that was supposed to last only 2-3 weeks, or 4-6 weeks (depending on how Donny-Boy feels when he wakes up after 3 hours sleep) has lasted over 3 months with still no signed treaty, no negotiations, the Strait still closed, gas prices still over $4 a gallon...all to hope people forget about those "files" he campaigned on.
My opinion and mine alone and certainly no one else.
