Pete Hegseth has already very purposefully excluded Catholics in various ways. Hegseth pastor want's to ban Catholicism....Evangelical Christian Nationalists view Catholicism as a heretical faith and the pope as an anti-christ. These views run strong throughout southern evangelical communities. The one thing that kept both sides talking and peaceful was their mutual opposition to Roe v Wade... now that that is overturned, its back to the old intolerance.

Now, our Gold Loving guy in the WH wants to BLOCKADE the Strait of Hormuz because of the failed peace negotiations? Maybe the US needed more experienced people in diplomacy vs Vance and Kushner.

We MIGHT be ok for a week,maybe two, because of the logistics in getting and positioning the ships in place .Especially because of the absence of the USS Gerald Ford which is now in Croatia for more repairs after being in Crete for some repairs. After that it is scheduled to go to Norfolk.
The downside to everything is that our ships will be very vulnerable to drones and missiles from Iran.The good news is that for the last few days there is been an increase in size and numbers of anti Netanyahu protest marches in Israel. An earlier court ruling limited them to 1000 people at each of them. There were more than 1000 at many of them and the police let them go. That's is a really encouraging sign. When the police do not do anything that quite often means trouble is brewing. We can only hope,
