Netanyahu has some unspecified issue with the cease fire but he will go along with for 2 weeks. There are reports of yard signs suddenly appearing in some extremely ruby red areas from PA to Iowa. Some of them say Vance 2026, and Impeach, Convict, Remove.
AverageSue, DennisinPeoria and RambleOn reacted TACO Tuesday! Looks like there may be a two-week cease fire and opening of the strait. Of course, this could be followed by Wacky Wednesday, which unravels everything. I sincerely hope that DJT listen to those who are giving wise, truthful information. apnews.com/article/i ran-us-israel-trump- lebanon-april-7-2026 -421ee64fdc9a5c
After Trumps tweet on Easter Sunday there was outrage everywhere. Speaker Johnson put major, major, major pressure on Trump towards a ceasefire. Johnson could see and hear where things were going in the House and the Senate was moving in that direction too. Eventually, one way or another, there will have to be some distance created between Trump and Netanyahu otherwise this will never end. Much sooner than that issue is that Hegseth will be gone.

@chriscervantez :
And yet the Iranian Parliament president claims the US has already violated the Ceasefire agreement. Not sure how, as that info was on a news crawl.

Found this on my Facebook.
Interesting contrast in agreements between 2 different Presidents, if everything listed here can be confirmed .

twitter.com/Christop herHale/status/20419 59904823366074 NEW: A stunning new report claims that the Pentagon summoned Pope Leo XIV's top American diplomat and threatened him after the U.S.-born pontiff gave his January state-of-the-world address. Leo used the address to denounce a world ruled by "a diplomacy based on force" and "zeal for war." In January, behind closed doors at the Pentagon, Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby summoned Cardinal Christophe Pierre - Pope Leo XIV's then-ambassador to the United States - and delivered a lecture. America, Colby and his colleagues told the cardinal, has the military power to do whatever it wants in the world. The Catholic Church had better take its side. As tempers rose, one U.S. official reached for a fourteenth-century weapon and invoked the Avignon Papacy, the period when the French Crown used military force to bend the bishop of Rome to its will. That scene, broken this week by Mattia Ferraresi in an extraordinary piece of journalism for The Free Press, may be the most remarkable moment in the long and knotted history of the American republic's relationship with the Catholic Church. UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place - and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon's tactics that Pope Leo XIV shelved plans to visit the United States later this year. Many in the Vatican saw the Pentagon's reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See. Completely normal behavior.

@bgbird68 :
Since that Pentagon meeting there was a phone call between Trump and Pope Leo. The pope was talking about a possible ceasefire, Trump reportedly said" Why should I do that when I can obliterate them?"
Another very recent phone call between Hegseth and the pope had Hegseth screaming and cursing at the pope, Times of Israel had extensive reporting on that one.

@billybob : I think if there's one guy you might want to hold back the profanity on, it would be the pope. Just saying.

But will conservative republican Catholics care? More importantly... will they do anything about it.
