If, as Trump claims that he supposedly "decimated and obliterated" Iran's defense systems, how is it that they were able to recently shoot down two American fighter aircrafts? I assumed that "decimated and obliterated" meant that they wouldn't be able to do something like that. Just more LIES from Trump and his cabinet.

The second F-15e pilot has been rescued, but Iran now claims to have downed a C-130. A refueling version was seen supporting the rescue Blackhawk helicopters.

Iran claims it shot down a US C-130 and two Black Hawk helicopters during a rescue mission near Isfahan, but reports suggest US forces destroyed disabled aircraft to prevent capture, even as both missing pilots from the downed F-15E are rescued.

 

Who shot down the reported C-130 aircraft, belonging to the United States, has become the latest flashpoint in the escalating Iran war. Iran claimed it downed multiple US military platforms - two Black Hawk helicopters and a C-130 transport aircraft near Isfahan - during a high-risk rescue mission. However, contradicting report suggested that the US forces destroyed disabled aircraft on the ground to prevent them from falling into Iranian hands.

 

Iran's state TV on Sunday quoted a statement from the country's joint military command that two Black Hawk helicopters and one C-130 military transport aircraft had been shot down in the city of Isfahan. The statement said the aircraft were taking part in a failed rescue operation for a US pilot.

Of course, he doesn't consider bombing of civilian infrastructure in Iran as a "War Crime", which is outlined in the Geneva Convention rules from 1954. He doesn't adhere to US court rulings, the US Constitution, and US laws, why would he respect International laws?

@mypeez : Exceeded only by Fauci and the COVID-19 2 weeks of restrictions ...Trump said today that the aircrafts that returned had a lot of bullet holes in them. There's no telling what part of anything he says is true. Every lie is permitted for national security. I don't see any wheel marks in the dirt like an airplane getting stuck. The aircraft were probably too damaged to safely make it back so they left them behind.The bigger question is what in the world were they doing out there. Was their mission to destroy the wreckage of the crashed F15? They can come down flat with less damage and not catch fire. Were they there to gain access to some underground Iranian facility? In that case the story about the second missing crew member was made up for distraction. It makes no sense to come within a few miles of the second guy and not pick him up too when getting the first guy.I think the military has special divisions of black ops where they don't count any deaths.

Yeah it probably broke apart in to hundreds of small pieces in the mountains, and they had lots of people picking up debris. How does this 2 week Ceasefire affect oil prices and stocks? Do oil futures drop so rich billionaire investors can swoop in at bargain prices, while the same investors profit off of stocks and bonds that will shoot up after this, @Billybob?
The other question is, does Iran even trust Israel and our TACO leader to honor the cease fire?
