Then a frigate, IRIS Dena, on March 4 by torpedo. The first torpedo kill by the US since WW2. Mostly the ships capable of launching missiles or drones were destroyed. One of Iran's 2 mid sized Fateh class submarines was attacked on the surface, out at least 21 submarines in their navy. Their 3 large Russian built submarines are not reported to have been hit.US ships may be leaving the area due to the submarine threat. The Suez Canal may not be usable for some time. Remember in 2021 when the Ever Given got stuck in canal for 6 days? The Iranian ship the IRIS Bushehr has been taken over by Sri Lanka due to engine trouble. Perhaps they are making that up beacuse they are scared by what happened to IRIS Dena which was traveling along the same route.Iran clearly doesn't have a missile shield like Israel does. Here is some news that's not from the west's perspective.
