As much as I'm a fan of the 5G TMobile home internet (since neither Mediacom or I3 want to serve my home) I think this would be a possible concern for an existing i3 customer. T-Mobile's 5G home internet tech support is very minimal. (And yes, it's really a product where they try to keep a tower functional and it's the customer's job to get as much of that signal as possible) and they really lock down their gateways to offer almost no customizing features. And I always think it's a good idea for an area to have more competition. But if this means fiber becomes a choice at my house, I'd be thrilled.

I have the cheapest i3 package because it is just me and I don't have a zillion things streaming at once. My mom has 5G TMobile home internet which is cheaper and faster. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
I've actually been thinking about Starlink and take it with me when I'm buried in Shawnee or Mark Twain which usually has no service.

The first step was when Family Video iTV3 was bought out and became i3 broadband shortly after they came to Peoria. This kind of consolidation is the cause of a lot of the country's problems. But this is a bit different, they're continuing to operate as their own company but as a wholesale provider for T-Mobile. T-Mobile will interact with the customers. Then you can expect discounts for those who are already T-Mobile customers and all that.
Comcast / xfinity is basically from AT&T. A landline phone company, then mobile and Cable TV + Internet. Peoria used to have Insight Communications, then due to an agreement our area changed to Comcast Internet. The quality of the service declined.
